Production Diary

This is my production diary to show what we have achieved in different meetings:

Meeting 1

In the first lesson we decided which song we were going produce a video for and why. This was a tough decision as there is a lot of song choice and it had to be a song that had no video already professionally made. We narrowed it down to 3 choices which were 'CCTV' by The Last Republic, 'If it means a lot to you' by A day to remember and 'Rescue me' by Skepta. Our final song choice was 'If It Means A Lot To You' by A Day To Remember. It's important to know which song we are going to use at an early stage so we can plan around it and quickly progress.

Meeting 2
In our second meeting we decided our final song choice. All the members of the group agreed on the same song. 'If it means a lot to you' by A Day To Remember. We then started thinking of the style of our video to be compatible with the genre of song.

Meeting 3:
We found the lyrics for the song on the internet. This was essential so that we can base our narrative to be appropriate for the song. We also annotated the lyrics with timings so we knew what was said and when.

Meeting 4:
In this lesson our group decided on basic narrative and started to create the storyboard. This was at the stage where we were just coming up with different ideas to get the basic idea and feel of the video.

Meeting 5:
We continued to work on the story board and put more detail into the storyline.

Meeting 6:
We carried on with the story board during this meeting.

Meeting 7:
Due to personal reasons the agreed meeting was cancelled. Another time was set for the meet.

Meeting 8:
Continued to work on the storyboard, slightly behind due to missing meeting 7.

Meeting 9:
Completed the storyboard in this lesson. Capturing of the storyboard started with shots of the boyfriend and girlfriend walking in a woodland setting.

Meeting 10:
In this lesson we edited the footage that we had filmed the day before. Then at the lunchtime that followed this lesson we filmed at a bus stop. The shots were of the lead singer in the band singing and playing the guitar.

Meeting 11:
